GOLDEN HOWE GRASS FED LAMBAs with our beef, all our lambs are completely grass fed and allowed to mature at their own pace. Our lamb is hung for a minimum of seven days to ensure that the meat is tender and full of flavour. It is recognised that meat from grass fed animals has various health advantages over that from grain fed ones. POLL DORSETArguably the most ancient of our native breeds, Dorset sheep make excellent use of good grass to produce succulent and flavoursome lamb. Their unique natural ability to lamb at any time of year means that we can offer a year round supply of lamb without resorting to artificial breeding or husbandry measures.

At Golden Howe we have spent several years developing a flock of coloured Poll Dorsets. This flock is quite possibly unique, the sheep retain all the characteristics and qualities of the Poll Dorset, but are either a most attractive chocolate brown or brown and white spotted.
