LAMBRIGG SPOTLIGHT |
|
|
2001 home bred gelding. Known as Spot at home and to his friends.
Sire. Fenjay Dollar Boy, one of our resident stallions here at the stud, who’s offspring are now going from strength to strength and proving themselves both in the showring and in competition.
Dam. Centaur Evita, a beautiful mare with substantial BSJA winnings from just one season. Evita is a daughter of First Draught, one of the best British Appaloosa performance stallions to date.
Spot is not the first foal from this mating, he is preceded by his sister - LAMBRIGG FLEUR DE LYS, a multi show champion in her own right, Fleur is currently enjoying life as a broodmare.
Spot is primarily Martin’s riding horse, his intelligence and willing unflappable temperament have made it a pleasure for Martin to bring him on himself after backing. Spot will be resuming his competition training with Martin in the future, but for 2008 and hopefully 2009 he is being shown under saddle by Katy Bennet. We are very grateful to Katy for all her effort in producing Spot, she does an excellent job and has very high standards. Although Martin will admit to some slight worry that he will never get his horse back, as Katy now thinks as much of Spot as we do !

LAMBRIGG CONFETTI |
|
|
2007 filly.
Sire. Exbury Eclipse Dam. EBA. Amaretti, who has been with us since she was a foal and has had a hugely successful showing career of her own with several Championships to her name. Amaretti is a daughter of the fantastic performance stallion and influential sire of winners in all disciplines R.Mellow Kinsman, who spent the final breeding years of his long life with us at Lambrigg, and is still sorely missed by us.
Confetti, known as Connie at home, has that all important combination of brains and beauty, she had a modest but successful start to her career, attending 3 shows this season where she was always in the ribbons and which culminated with her winning the yearling class at the NATIONAL APPALOOSA SHOW.
2008 successes * Reserve best yearling - Leicester county * 2nd young stock and best yearling - East of England * 1st yearling and 2nd potential riding horse - National Appaloosa
